KEAM 2012 begins on monday. More than 1lakh applications are received in this year, The number of candidates for the Engineering Entrance Examination is 1,12,900 while 85,800 will be taking the Medical Entrance Examination. There are 65,300 applicants attending the Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations.

Applications can be submitted now for the ‘Central Universities Common Entrance Test, (CUCET), the test being held jointly by seven Central Universities of Bihar, Jammu, Jharkhand, Kashmir, Kerala, Rajasthan & Tamil Nadu, for admission to over 99 Integrated, Post-Graduate & Research Programmes in these Universities.
CUCET provides a single window opportunity for students to participate in the admission process to over 99 Programmes across seven Universities, through a Common Entrance Test.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination- 2012 (AIPMT 2012) for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the Supreme Court of India.


Scheme of Examination: The entrance examination will be held in two stages. The first stage consists of a Preliminary Examination, to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 1.4.2012 at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Panaji, Patna, Port Blair, Puducherry, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Trivandrum, and Riyad. It would consist of one paper of 3 hours duration, containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
The second stage of the Examination, the AIPMT Final Examination, for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination, to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 13.5.2012, at Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ranchi would also consist of one paper containing 120 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
