Calicut UTY :Admission To M.Phil Degree Course – 2011

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to M.Phil Degree Course in the
following University  Teaching Departments (viz. Arabic, Bio-technology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Folklore Studies, Hindi, History, Library & Information Science, Life Science, Malayalam & Kerala Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Russian & Comparative Literature, Sanskrit, Statistics, School of Drama & Fine Arts, Zoology etc.).
Eligibility  
Candidates who possess Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or any other relevant subject  approved by the Board of Studies of this University or equivalent degree of any other Indian or Foreign Universities with not less than 55% marks are eligible to apply for the same. For OEC candidates 5% mark relaxation shall be given.  In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category and teachers under FIP scheme, a pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient.

Three Year LL B Entrance on Oct 16

The Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala has invited applications for the Entrance Examination on October 16 for admission to Three Year LL.B Course 2011 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode.
Eligibility for Admission:
(i) Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen

(ii) Academic Qualifications
(a) Candidate seeking admission to the course should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
(b) A candidate who has passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (i.e., 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examinations taken together) shall alone be eligible for admission to the 3 year LL.B course. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
(c) Candidates who are appearing/appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of 2010-11 academic year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
Age: There is no upper age limit

KEAM Next Phase Start From 14TH Sep

The rearrangement and registration for new courses and colleges will begin by the Commissioner of Entrance Exminations only on 14th Sept. All the remaining admissions will be done on the basis of this registration. Private self financing Medical College admission, Private Dental College admission etc will be done this time. It is not yet sure whether admissions will be done to Ayurveda colleges for BAMS course and Sidha course, since the approval process of these colleges by the Ayush, the regulatory authority is not over.The notifition for it will be published on 12th Sept.

GATE 2012: Online Regestration up to Oct 17

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), 2012, the All India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi as the Organizing Institute, will be conducted on January 29, 2012 (Online) and February 12, 2012 (offline).
 The following categories of candidates ONLY are eligible to appear for GATE:
a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
b) Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
c) Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master’s degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.
d) Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
e) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE b
