Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination from any recognized university in Commerce, Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology or any equivalent degree examination with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Scores of any national level management admission tests like CAT / MAT / ATMA / XAT etc. will be accepted with internally decided cut-off percentile

Civil Service Preliminary on May 26 ; Apply by April 4th

The Union Public Service Commission has notified the Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination, 2013. The Examination will be held on 26th May, 2013 at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Aligarh, Allahabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur ,Panaji (Goa), Patna, Puducherry, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar,Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur, and Vishakhapatnam.
Eligibility 
Nationality: For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India. For other services also, the applicant must be a citizen of India, generally. Exceptions in this are available in the dtailed Notification available at www.upsc.gov.in/exams/notifications/2013/csp_ifs/csp2013.pdf
Age: Applicant must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2013. IIT Indore has invited applications from highly motivated and research oriented students for its following Full-time Regular PG and PhD Programmes of Academic Year 2013-14.

Courses - Qualifying Degree and Exam
I. School of Basic Sciences:
1. MSc and MSc + PhD Dual Degree:
  • Chemistry: 1. Minimum first Class* Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years / six semesters and should have passed Mathematics at (10+2) level, AND 2. Qualification in JAM 2013 in Chemistry
  • Physics: 1. Minimum first Class* Bachelor’s degree with Physics as a subject for at least two years / four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters, AND 2. Qualification in JAM 2013 in Physics
2. PhD:
  • Chemistry - Mathematics - Physics
