Indian Council for Agricultural Research has notified the 18th All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA-UG-2013) to 15% seats in Bachelor Degree Programmes (100% seats in Dairy Technology at NDRI Karnal) and award of National Talent Scholarships in Agriculture & Allied Science subjects (other than Veterinary Science) in Agricultural Universities for 2013–14.
National Talent Scholarships (NTS) are awarded based on the AIEEA-UG examination to all those candidates who take admission outside their state of domicile. Further, not more than 40% candidates from any one state are admitted in any agricultural university/subject.Apply by Feb 15
Eligibility: Applicants should be Indian Nationals of at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years as on 31.08.2013. Applicant should have been born between 1.9.1990 and 1.9.1996. SC/ST/PH categories will h
ave a relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years.
Applicant must have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of an Indian Board/ University after a period of 12 years of study with last two years having Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology/ Mathematics/Agriculture /Home Science and must have passed the examination securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General, OBC and UPS categories and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST and PH categories. Besides, for admission in the Universities specifically located in non-Hindi speaking areas, candidate must have passed English as a core subject in 10+2 examination. Candidate having a compartment/supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible unless proof of having cleared the examination with requisite percentage as stipulated is made available. Those appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions and submission of evidence of having satisfied the conditions, latest by the counseling date.
